If you’re like me, you think everything tastes better with hot sauce. Going through a bottle a week gets a little pricey, but buying peppers only costs a few cents. Here’s how to make inexpensive and delicious hot sauce.
- Four small chili peppers (red or jalapeno)
- ¼ cup apple cider vinegar
- Three teaspoons black pepper
- Two tablespoons salt
- 2 teaspoons olive oil
- 1 tablespoon chili powder
- 1 cup of water
- One pan
Roast the chili peppers whole in a pan with the olive oil, half of the salt, and half of the black pepper. Flip after a few minutes and allow both sides to get blistered.
Cut the tops off the peppers. Core the seeds out for a milder sauce, keep them in for a hotter sauce.
Add the peppers to the blender with the apple cider vinegar, the rest of the pepper, the rest of the salt, the chili powder, and the water. Blend on high until everything is completely incorporated and a little runny.
Put on everything and enjoy!
