The do’s and don’ts of communal bathrooms
DO start an early morning conversation with someone, especially if it’s before 8 a.m.

People love to chat first thing in the morning. Talk about the election or the meaning of life — get deep. This is a great way to establish a closer connection with a fellow student (bonus points if the other person is brushing their teeth).
DON’T be courteous.

If you’re washing your hands and notice that someone else is in the stall, make sure to turn off the faucet and make no noise. That lucky someone will highly appreciate it, and be sure to reciprocate the favor.
DO play footsie with the person in stall next to you.

DO time your pee to begin and end with the person in the stall next to you.

DO leave strands of hair in the sink and shower.

As they say, there’s beauty in the details. The abandoned hair strands might actually be the best part of somebody else’s day. I mean, don’t you just appreciate the uncleanliness and WTF-ness of it all?
