Kids will be kids, and cats will be cats.

Let’s face it – no matter how patient you are, sometimes young children annoy the best of us, especially when they hit their “terrible twos.”

Now let’s talk about cats. Anyone who has spent even a few hours alone with a cat will know that when someone or something is annoying them, they will snap and either walk away in irritation, or swipe with vexed paws.

A video compilation done by The Huffington Post, featuring clips of cats attacking toddlers, entitled “Cats Fight Kids, People Just Stand Around And Film It,” exposes just that.

It’s funny, albeit in a twisted way: if you saw your son rough housing with your cat, and then saw your cat fighting back, furiously swatting at his head with its paws, wouldn’t you be a little concerned and stop the camera?

Apparently not, seeing as these parents even went so far as to put them on the Internet.

After the initial shock and disbelief wears off, one can’t help but let a giggle or two sneak out while watching the video. Highlights include one cat pants-ing a boy, and another young boy falling back and lying on the floor in utter defeat after a cat leaps on him out of nowhere.

Maybe these cats were just playing, or maybe they had had enough and wanted to smack some sense into these kids.

No cats or toddlers were harmed in the making of these videos (we think).
