Fall is the perfect time for artists to release their news songs and albums before the end of the year hits, when all anyone listens to is Christmas music. While many hits at the moment were released in previous months, there are still songs released this month that definitely made an impact on the charts. Here are five singles released this October that you need to listen to:

1. “Gorgeous” by Taylor Swift

T-Swift came in hot all throughout September, but she was not about to let her popularity meter go down once October hit. On Oct. 20, Swift released her third single from her new album, “Reputation.” Called “Gorgeous,” the pop song is extremely catchy and appears to be about yet another one of Taylor’s love interests. It is rumored that the song is about actor Joe Alwyn, who is apparently Swift’s new boy.

2. “Wolves” by Selena Gomez and Marshmello

It’s been awhile since we heard from Selena, but now she is back and better than ever with her new single “Wolves,” a collaboration with producer Marshmello. Released on Oct. 25, this pop single starts out slow and dramatic, but then the chorus has you up on your feet dancing with its hypnotic EDM sounds. If you haven’t given it a listen, I totally recommend this song.

3. “MotorSport” by Migos, Nicki Minaj and Cardi B

If you are a Migos fan, or any rap artist fan for that matter, you’re going to like this new single. On Oct. 27, Migos, Nicki Minaj and Cardi B released their collab single, “Motor Sport,” to the world. And if you are a Patriots fan, the song even includes a Deflategate reference.

4. “When I Was Young” by MØ

MØ, the singer of hit songs “Lean On” and “Cold Water,” released her lead single of her first EP in three years with “When I Was Young.” Driven with club pop vibes, the single also includes a blaring sax and a jazzy beat that gives it an edge over the rest of her album. This song has an addicting beat that will make you want to put it on repeat 24/7.

5. “Bedroom Floor” by Liam Payne

Calling all One Direction fans: Liam Payne has released another single. Titled “Bedroom Floor,” this single is a significant contrast to his hit “Strip That Down.” Finally, we are able to hear Payne’s falsetto voice that we all fell in love with when he was in One Direction. This laid-back single is a great song to listen to when you just want to relax or are chilling with your friends.
